Oven Roasted Asparagus

Roasted asparagus is easy to make and makes a perfect side dish for just about any protein.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch Asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon cayenne
  • ½ teaspoon coarse salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 400°F.
  • Place Parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
  • Wash asparagus, then cut off the woody ends.
  • Move the asparagus onto the parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle oil and all seasonings over asparagus, then use a utensil (or your hands) to distribute evenly.
  • Spread asparagus out evenly on the baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes, until a fork is able to easily penetrate the thicker ends of the asparagus.
  • Serve with your favorite protein and thank yourself for eating vegetables.
